| After leaving INMOS in 1989 & moving across town to UTMC, Rich & his wife Vera retired in June 1996 & traveled for 15 yrs in their RV, building houses with Habitat for Humanity. They were on the first international Habitat RV team to New Zealand , driving their RV across the Pacific ocean for 13 hrs. No, wait, we are told that they flew for 13 hrs & rented an RV upon arrival. They are now settled in Montrose, CO on the famous "Western Slope" (which they have not yet discovered.)On a more serious note, Rich was diagnosed with multiple myeloma (bone marrow cancer) in 2010, but after a rigorous chemo regimen, went into remission in June 2011. He & Vera are back hiking 6-8 miles twice a week. An invitation is extended to any ex-Inmos employees to stop by when traveling in southwest Colorado. Bring your hiking boots. updated Jun 2013.
