| Martin worked in the compiler group at Inmos Bristol from 1984 to 1989 mostly on the occam 2 compiler. He left Inmos 2 days prior to his 5th anniversary of joining the company figuring it was now or never and set up SN Systems with an old university friend Andy Beveridge producing development system software largely for game developers though now branching out into the more general embedded systems market.
In early September 2005 SN Systems Ltd was sold to Sony Computer Entertainment Inc of Japan and has now become part of SCEI R&D concentrating on developing tools for the multi-core, SIMD PS3 as well as the older SIMD PSP and PS2 platforms. updated Sep 05.
