He and Teresa left Inmos for the Colonies in 88. Worked for Nortel, in silicon, until 94 and then switched to Bell Northern Research and GaAs for a number of years. He left the wafer world to try out some hi-speed packaging for a couple of years and then returned, trading electrons for photons (and GaAs for InP). Later he spent a couple of years in the Bay area putting photons and electrons together (Infinera) and is now in a Canadian Government commerialisation lab helping companies get their electrons, photons and ?? hooked up. updated May 06.
