|Left STMicroelectronics in 2000 to join Virata in Cambridge, UK initially as Group Leader but shortly thereafter becoming Director of LSI Design. Had a second son, Luc, in 2001 joining Kieran who was born Christmas day 1998. Grew the silicon design team and delivered new generations of the Helium network processor as the company merged with Globespan in the US. Formed a rock band for fun and wrote some songs, eventually recording a CD in a studio. Also bought a small cruising sailboat in order to get back out sailing with the kids. Took up the position of VP of Digital LSI running both design teams in New Jersey and Cambridge, moving with family to Red Bank, NJ, in Oct 2003. GlobespanVirata was subsequently bought by Conexant in 2004. Left Conexant in Apr 2006, whereupon the house was sold and a career "sailing sabbatical" was taken with the family. This started in the Chesapeake Bay travelling north up to Maine and back again over a 6 month period. Now in process of returning to UK with Molly and Kieran and Luc, so hope to meet up with people upon our return! updated Oct 06.
